I really enjoyed the National Events Conference. Everything seemed to go very smoothly and was extremely professional. Having organised many major events myself I can appreciate all the hard work that goes into presenting an event of that scale and the swan like effect that the organisers portray on the day.
Bronagh Bell, Business Development Director,
The Beardmore Hotel and Conference Centre, NHS Scotland
I would like to thank you and your team for all the hard work over the past weeks on the road-show. Your help was invaluable in ensuring the events ran smoothly. It has been a pleasure to work with you all and I would not hesitate to recommend you for future events.

I was invited to speak at Holyrood's Families "manifesto" conference in January 2006. I found the whole experience very positive prior to, during and after the event. Holyrood staff communicated with me clearly at every stage, providing helpful attention to detail. I was very impressed with their extremely efficient organisation of the conference during the day, which I think went very well. Then, within days after the conference, papers and other information from the event were available on their website. A very positive experience all round!

Your professional approach, obvious experience and clear direction greatly reassured us that the management of the event was in good hands. This was underpinned by the ongoing contact with, and regular updates from, your colleagues as well as the support and advice of the AV Department. On behalf of OSCR, thank you to you and your team at Holyrood Events, for a successful and enjoyable event.
Mark Simpson

Very pleasant staff. Very well organised. Excellent.

Conferences are difficult to get right, partly because much is outside the control of the organisers. But Holyrood consistently puts on really great events: well constructed programmes, quality presenters, excellent venues, and topped off with almost unique during- and after-event interaction and feedback for attendees. Holyrood truly stands out amongst conference organisers.
Fred Perkins
Managing Director, Information TV Ltd
I thought the Creature Comforts conference a great success. As you can imagine, being so immersed in the Animal Health and Welfare Bill over the last couple of years, I didn't expect to hear much that was new to me, but I was pleased to be proved wrong. It was valuable that local authority and enforcement issues had a good airing during the panel session.

I just wanted to say a special thank you to you and your colleagues for all your assistance yesterday!
You've no idea how big a difference it makes to have nice pleasant and discreet assistance such as I received yesterday!!!
Well done, for once I really enjoyed my visit; often attending events on my own can be quite daunting, but thanks to you guys for once it was a pleasure and I was totally at ease.
I'll certainly have no reservations about attending any other event organised by Holyrood events.

Thank you so much for sending Thandika Mkandawire’s speech - one of the many highlights of the [Malawi After Gleneagles] Conference, which was a great privilege to attend. Thank you also to you and your team for such an excellently well run event.

The BII has worked with Holyrood on a number of occasions, both in the sponsorship arena and also in terms of articles for publications. We have been delighted with the response to these events and the heightened awareness created by targeted delegate attendance at conferences which has helped to raise our profile in our specific area of liquor licensing and also in the wider realm of tourism in Scotland.
Cathie Smith
Director of Qualifications, British Institute of Innkeeping
Everything went very smoothly, and my needs were met calmly and very efficiently - what usually happens at events is that I am made to feel like a 'problem'. Thank you so much for helping, I'm really very grateful.

From my own first hand experience and the feedback ABPI Scotland has received from its member companies, Holyrood Conferences and Events is certainly the leading event organiser of conferences on the Parliamentary and policy agenda, in Scotland and further afield.
They should be the first port of call for any organisation wishing to organise a major conference or event in Scotland, particularly when wishing to capture the attention of Parliamentarians, journalists, opinion leaders and decision makers.
Jim Eadie
Director of ABPI Scotland
I was really pleased with how the conference went and was impressed by the efficiency and competency of your staff.

Parliamentary Officer, Scottish SPCA
As a Blind person, who has a guide dog, my needs in attending events organised by Holyrood Conferencing have been met in full without exception. Appropriate format of information, including this being made available prior to events. Assistance, when required, in getting around the conference venue; including the all important coffee and lunch breaks. Assistance with the electronic voting is also on hand on the occasions when I attending without a support worker. Facilities are also on hand for my guide dog and appropriate space is provided in the main conference room/hall for him to lay down and stretch out! As important to me is the friendly approach of the staff and the natural way they interact and nothing ever seem to be to much trouble.
The above comments are based on having attended 8 events.

I was delighted to work with Holyrood Conferences to run the Countdown to Freedom of Information in Scotland conferences for public authorities in November 2003 and January 2004. The events aimed to raise awareness not only of the new Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act, but also to support public authorities to consider the implications for their own organisations in the year ahead.
Holyrood Conference's thorough approach to every element of planning the conferences guaranteed success from the outset. The high quality programme attracted almost 700 participants who enjoyed the presentations from a wide range of speakers, all with very different perspectives. The mixture of speeches, panels and the opportunity to give feedback through electronic polling was a great success.
It was a pleasure to work with Holyrood Conference's highly motivated, experienced and co-ordinated team.
Kevin Dunion

Congratulations!! A JOB WELL DONE! One of the best run conferences I have attended in a long time.

The 'Planning for Scotland's Future' conferences bring together a wide range of diverse interests, essential to devising an effective improvement agenda for the Scottish planning system, and incorporating lots of participation through workshops and electronic voting. I enjoyed them immensely.
Prof. Alan Prior

I have spoken at two events organised by Holyrood Conferences to publicise the implementation of the Freedom of Information Act. Both the events were organised very efficiently and were extremely well attended (as a Deputy Minister for Finance, I'm not used to speaking before such large audiences!).
The platform that each event provided allowed me to speak directly to people who were going to be affected by the FoI regime and hear first hand the issues where people thought we were getting it right along with the areas where there was some concern about our approach. Overall, an extremely good way to communicate directly with key stakeholders.
Tavish Scott MSP
Deputy Minister for Finance and Public Services
During the past three years members of the Society in Scotland and I have attended a number of seminars & conferences organised by Holyrood.
Members of the Society in Scotland & I have found the seminars & conferences to be informative, thought provoking and of a high quality in terms of presentation & value for money.
Anthony Sneider
National Officer, The British Psychological Society - Scottish Office
I thought the conference was excellent and your interactive technology highly innovative. Well done.
Struan Stevenson MEP
President, The Fisheries Committee, The European Parliament
The success of the recent Just One Click for Scotland Event was a real tribute to Holyrood's professionalism and management skills. It is very rare to work with an organisation that can effectively, and seamlessly, marry the very different drives and objectives of the public and commercial sectors into one common goal. The conference presented us with an incredibly powerful platform from which we could deliver our product message to key UK stakeholders and opinion formers in the child safety arena. We were not only impressed with the number of delegates who attended on the day but also with the quality. The face-to-face contact was indispensable, with delegates freely offering support, advise, contacts and the benefit of their personal experiences. All of which will lead us to improving our services, enhancing our reputation and ultimately building our business.
