Kirsty is a fictional child, born into one of Scotland’s most deprived communities on the day the current crop of MSPs took their seats in 2016.
2020 saw significant challenges for children like Kirsty growing up in poverty. Conditions for many families worsened during the COVID-19 lockdown, and both the £10 Scottish Child Payment and the 1140 Minimum Nursery Hours targets have been delayed.
This event was a much-needed opportunity for those who support vulnerable children to get together to discuss how we can move forward, with input from Scotland’s leading experts.
