Albert King is the Chief Information & Technology Officer at the Adolescent Health Study (AHS), one of the UK’s most ambitious health research programmes. He leads AHS’s data, technology, information security, and compliance functions, ensuring that the organisation’s digital and information capabilities support world-class health research and deliver lasting public value.

Before joining AHS, Albert served as Chief Data Officer at Public Services Delivery Scotland, where he led Scotland’s national data service for health and social care. Prior to that, he held the same role within the Scottish Government’s Digital Directorate, playing a pivotal role in the development and launch of Scotland’s first national AI Strategy.

With more than 20 years of experience spanning both the public and private sectors, Albert is a passionate advocate for the responsible use of data and artificial intelligence to improve outcomes for citizens, strengthen public services, and support evidence-based decision-making.
