David McKay

David is Head of Policy for Scotland at the Soil Association, leading on the research, development, and advocacy of the charity’s policy positions on food, farming, and land use. He has a background in journalism and politics, previously working as a media adviser to MSPs and MPs in Holyrood and Westminster. He has since completed a Master’s degree in Organic Farming at SRUC and is an organically-certified small-scale fruit and veg grower. David sits on the secretariat of the Scottish Organic Stakeholders Group and on Scottish Environment LINK’s Food and Farming Group.
