Jonathan is the Director of Digital Health and Care in Scottish Government, and is currently leading on digital Covid-19 response programmes including the Protect Scotland app and Covid Vaccinations. Jonathan has overall responsibility for the Digital Health and Care Strategy and has a key focus on ensuring the delivery of the new systems that are needed to support this in Scotland.
Prior to joining Scottish Government in November 2019, Jonathan held a number of NHS Scotland IT and data posts, and has delivered several complex eHealth and Digital project and programmes, including the Key Information Summary (KIS) system.
Jonathan has been a CivTech challenge sponsor for the first 3 years of the programme and innovation has been a major focus throughout his career.
