Laura joined the Scottish Social Service Council (SSSC) in 2008. She has held a number of roles within Fitness to Practice before being appointed to Head of Learning and Development in August 2018. She is currently Acting Director of Development and Innovation and the strategic lead for workforce development. Before joining the SSSC, Laura worked as a social worker in local government in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). Her particular interests are workforce education and training, safeguarding individuals, trauma-informed and a rights-based approach to practice.
