Lisa Christensen

Lisa is a Senior Trade Advisor at Scottish Development International (Copenhagen). In this role, she promotes Scottish technology exports with a special focus on circular economy and climate technologies. Previously, she was Trade Commissioner at the Embassy of Canada to Denmark (2015-2019), where she specialized in free trade (CETA Canada-EU) promotion and advocacy; and international business development covering cleantech, infrastructure, business services, forestry, and United Nations Procurement.
As a public relations professional, Lisa has served as Director of Public Relations at internationally renowned 3XN Architects (2019-2020); Senior Communications Specialist at Architectural Institute of British Columbia (2008-2014); and Publications Manager at Los Angeles Opera (2001-2004). Her work is characterized by multi-lingual proficiency; deep sector knowledge; creativity; and collaboration across extensive networks in the Nordics, North America and the United Kingdom. Lisa graduated from McGill University in 1997 with a Master of Arts; and from the University of British Columbia in 1995 with a Bachelor of Music.
Lisa holds Agile Project Management Certification at both Foundation and Practitioner levels from the University of Westminster (2021); a Climate Solutions Professional qualification from the Royal Scottish Geographical Society (2022); and has completed specialist training on “Circular Economy & Sustainability: Impact on Business Models, Finance and Investments” from Cambridge Judge Business School (2022).
Lisa regularly presents on the green transition; circular economy; climate technologies; international trade & collaboration; climate action planning; and social media strategy to national and international audiences.
