Lorna Slater MSP

Lorna lives in Leith Walk Ward in Edinburgh, and is an electro-mechanial engineer who works in tidal energy. In 2019 was selected to participate in the Homeward Bound leadership program, and spent a year studying leadership and climate change which included a three week visit to Antarctica to see the devastating effects of this first hand.

In Holyrood, Lorna will focus on building sustainable industries in Scotland and a just transition away from fossil fuels. The implementation of a Green New Deal and a Green Deal for workers are needed to overhaul how our economy works and ensure fair well-paid jobs for generations to come.

Lorna came second in the Leith Walk Ward by-election in 2019, beating Labour.
