Lorraine was appointed Chief Executive in August 2018. She joined the SSSC in 2001 and has held several roles in policy, performance and communications, latterly as Director of Strategic Performance and Engagement. Before joining the SSSC, Lorraine worked at Children 1st as a policy officer and then communications manager. Her background is in welfare rights, social change campaigns and community work.
