Nuala Kilmartin is Innovation Lead for Security and Resilience at Innovate UK, UKRI, where she leads strategic interventions that support the UK Cyber Security Innovation Strategy and the UK’s ambition for global cyber leadership. Working across the Digital and Technologies Domain, she drives innovation, market development and ecosystem growth in cyber security and other frontier technologies, helping businesses access funding, scale-up support and opportunities for commercial growth.
With over 25 years of experience in innovation, programme leadership, stakeholder engagement and strategic communications, Nuala works across government, industry and academia to accelerate the adoption of emerging technologies, secure-by-design approaches and research-led innovation. She provides leadership for national programmes including CyberASAP and Cyber Scale, a UK-wide R&D initiative focused on advancing cyber security solutions for Critical National Infrastructure. Through these programmes, she supports the translation of cutting-edge research into commercial outcomes that strengthen UK resilience, enhance economic competitiveness and drive sustainable growth.
