Penny has worked as an Early Years Educational Psychologist for many years, focusing on how best to support early relationships. Her current role in East Lothian includes embedding the Nurture Principles in nursery practice, with a specific focus on attunement and mind-mindededness, as well as supporting the new pregnancy to age 2 service for families and infants. She is the Scottish Hub Lead for the Association of Infant Mental Health; and is a supervisor/trainer for Video Interaction Guidance. She particularly likes using VIG to support relationships straight after birth.
