
Ben Worthy is a Reader in Politics and Public Policy at Birkbeck College, University of London. He teaches British politics and Birkbeck’s cutting edge Parliamentary Studies course. He has written extensively on issues around Transparency and Freedom of Information including authoring the book The Politics of FOI. He has also written extensively on Prime Ministers and political leadership, with recent pieces comparing Boris Johnson and Silvio Berlusconi and on the Premiership of Liz Truss. He has recently ran a two year Leverhulme project assessing the impact of voting data platforms, and written on lobbying transparency and local government openness. He is Director of the Centre for British Political Life and sits on the UK Open Government Network.
