Margaret Whoriskey is Head of Innovation for Care and Wellbeing at the Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre (DHI). With more than 20 years of experience spanning strategic leadership and programme delivery within the Scottish Government, Margaret has led major transformation and service improvement initiatives across health and social care.
Since joining DHI in 2024, Margaret has led a national programme of collaboration to accelerate digital innovation across social care, social work and housing. Central to this work is the development of Digital Care Collaborative Scotland (DCCS), a national initiative designed to create the conditions for innovation, support the adoption of digital solutions, and drive the transformation of care and support through technology, partnership and evidence-based practice.
Margaret also leads Digital Lifelines Scotland, a Scottish Government-funded programme focused on reducing the risk of harm and drug-related deaths among people who use drugs. The programme promotes digital inclusion and access to tailored digital services through a partnership approach involving the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) and Simon Community Scotland.
Alongside her role at DHI, Margaret serves as Chair of Hanover (Scotland) Housing Association, bringing additional leadership experience in housing, independent living and the wider wellbeing agenda.
