Ethan joined Holyrood in September 2025 as the Connect reporter, covering technology around Scotland. He has freelanced for The Courier and The Stirling Observer. He has written on subjects ranging from insect decline in Scotland to American football and Native American powwows. He graduated with a first-class journalism degree from the University of Stirling in 2025, winning the Thomas A. Dunne award for the outstanding student in communications, media and culture.
