Asad Naqvi is currently Head of the PAGE Secretariat. The Secretariat serves the five partner UN agencies (UNEP, ILO, UNDP, UNIDO and UNITAR) to jointly support PAGE partner countries in their efforts for a just, fast and fair transition to an economy that is low carbon, resource efficient, and equitable – that is, an inclusive green economy.
Over the 23 years of his professional career, Asad Naqvi has provided advisory services to over 35 countries for developing and implementing policies, strategies and projects that demonstrate the potential of economic policy and instruments for achieving environmental and social development goals.
Asad Naqvi, a Pakistani national, holds a Master’s degree in Environment, Development and Policy from University of Sussex, UK and an MSc. in International Relations from Quaid-I-Azam University, Pakistan.
