Carole Ewart

Carole Ewart is the Director of the Campaign for Freedom of Information in Scotland, which will celebrate its 40th Birthday in 2024! Carole is also a public policy and human rights consultant working with organisations primarily in the ‘not for profit sector’.

Carole serves on: the ‘Access Info’ International Advisory Board and Board of Directors; the judging panel for the eCase FOI Awards; the Jimmy Reid Foundation Project Board, an independent ‘think tank’ for progressive policy in Scotland; the UK Anti-SLAPP Working Group, and Scottish sub-group, which campaigns against the use of legal intimidation and Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPPs); the steering group of the UK ESCR Network which promotes the equal enjoyment of economic, social and cultural rights.
