Catherine Williams

Catherine is Deputy Director in Department for Onshore Electricity, Strategy & Consents in the Energy and Climate Change Directorate in the Scottish Government.  This is the Unit that considers the long term development of the energy system, the impact this has on Scotland and how Scotland can best respond to it.  She has previously been responsible for the Heat in Buildings funding programmes within the Scottish Government.   Prior to this,  Catherine has been a Deputy Director Department for Transport (Rail Transformation) and has also previously headed Ofgem’s Electricity Transmission Networks team as well as had other investment and corporate finance roles in a range of different sectors.
