Christine McLaughlin has recently taken on the role of Chief Operating Officer & Deputy Chief Executive, NHS Scotland within the Scottish Government. She is responsible for delivering the strategic and operational objectives of ministers in delivering health and care services.
She has held a number of roles in the Scottish Government, most recently as Co-Director of Population Heath, as Director of Covid-19 Test & Protect and as Director of Finance for Health & Care.
Christine began her career in the NHS, where she qualified as a chartered public finance accountant and held a number of senior finance roles in territorial and national Boards. She has also worked in management consulting roles with PwC, KPMG and Capgemini, working with public sector clients to deliver major financial transformation.
