Claudia is Deputy Director of Sustainable Growth for NatureScot, Scotland’s nature agency. She leads on NatureScot’s work on nature-based jobs and skills, overseeing research to expand the evidence base about the nature based sector and assess future demand, and on NatureScot’s Action Plan for Nature Based Jobs and Skills which aims to build capacity and skills across Scotland’s workforce to help Scotland implement nature-based solutions and reach its net zero targets. One of the priorities within the Plan is to inspire and engage young people about nature, providing skills pathways for young people to enter the nature-based sector. She is a member of the CESAP (Climate Emergency Skills Action Plan), the Rural Skills Implementation Steering Groups and the Scottish Government Commission to Review Land Based Learning and Skills.
