Currently the elected Councillor for Glenrothes West and Kinglassie Ward and Spokesperson for Finance, Economy and Strategic Planning. Elected in 2012 Altany has served in a number of roles and represented Fife Council on a variety of external bodies and boards.
Currently serving on Scotland Excel Executive Board, COSLA Economy Board and as Scottish Regional Chair of the Industrial Communities Alliance.
