Colin Birchenall is the Chief Technology Officer of the Digital Office for Scottish Local Government and the Chief Digital Officer for Glasgow City Council. He has a particular interest in the role that digital technology can play to deliver better outcomes such as quality of life, the economy and the environment. He is a member of Scottish Government’s Digital Health and Care Enabling Technology and Health and Care Data Boards and has chaired the working group for the development of the Health and Care Data Strategy on behalf of Scottish Government.
