Ken Macdonald joined the ICO in 2005 after a career as an economist in the higher education, private consultancy and local authority sectors. Initially having responsibility for the Scotland office alone, he subsequently took charge of the office in Northern Ireland in 2009 and then the Wales office in 2016 under the title Head of ICO Regions.
