Dr Mairi Hope

Originally qualified in BSc Hons Microbiology from Glasgow University in 2000 and subsequently undertook a PhD in the role of the gut microbiota in colorectal cancer at Aberdeen University. Decided to study medicine as a graduate student and graduated from Aberdeen University in 2010 and qualified as a GP in 2015. Since then have worked locally in Aberdeen City practices and since 2020 has been the principal GP working in the city’s homeless practice where she also has a specialist interest in substance use and preventative health care in people who use drugs.
