Dr Maria Drummond

I am a post doctoral researcher at the University of Glasgow and Team Leader at ENRICH Scotland. I am a registered adult nurse, district nurse and independent prescriber with over twelve years clinical experience in community nursing (including care homes) prior to joining ENRICH Scotland in 2021. I completed a mixed-methods PhD from the University of Glasgow in Nursing and Healthcare in 2022 where I explored the unpaid caregiver role to identify and design complex nurse-led interventions to better support caregivers. As part of my role at ENRICH Scotland, I continue to develop as an independent researcher, so far working on qualitative studies related to care home work and life. My research interests include co-design, how technology is used and experienced by care home staff and residents, and improving access to research opportunities.
