Dr Richard Kjellgren is a Research Fellow at the University of Stirling, and his PhD explored the role of technology in facilitating exploitation and sex trafficking. Much of his work has been focused on developing algorithms and novel methods for gathering and generating open-source intelligence on sex trafficking, by using a combination of computational skills and criminological theory and methods. Dr Kjellgren is an experienced analyst of administrative and big data, and is keen on exploring novel ways of how data and analytics can be used to respond to complex harms at the intersections of justice, technology and public health.
