Dr. Ryan Gibson is the Head of Division for Computing within the School of Computing, Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of the West of Scotland. He develops various data applications utilising interconnected electronic devices, internet-of-things, computer vision and signal processing within machine learning and diagnostic applications. Research led by Ryan has impacted real-world systems, including industrial predictive maintenance, digital health, edge computing and hardware acceleration.
