Scott Steedman CBE is Director of Standards for the British Standards Institution (BSI) and an executive Director of the BSI Group. He has primary responsibility for the UK’s National Standards Body, overseeing the infrastructure for the creation and maintenance of standards by UK industry, consumer and other stakeholders and for the catalogue of British Standards (national, European and international standards) that underpins the UK economy.
Scott is from Edinburgh and spends considerable time in Scotland. He was appointed CBE in 2010 for services to engineering. He is a Past-President of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and former Vice President of the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng).
