Dr Sotirios Terzis

Sotirios Terzis is a Lecturer at the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, University of Strathclyde. He is the Director of the MSc Cyber Security (Graduate Apprenticeship) programme that is fully certified by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). He is a member of StrathCyber the Strathclyde Cyber Security Research Group that is recognised by NCSC and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) as an Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research (ACE-CSR).
His research focuses on the development of socio-technical solutions for security, privacy and trust, including areas like generative AI-based applications, phishing, usable authentication, cryptographic protocols, national identification systems, Internet of Things and pervasive computing system. He has also worked with industry on innovation projects involving blockchain based applications. In his teaching he promotes the combination of strong theoretical knowledge with practical skills, and work-based learning in all areas of information security and cyber resilience.
