Dr Steve Laitner

Steve Laitner is a practicing GP and a freelance health consultant. After public health and clinical leadership roles at local, regional and national levels he moved into the world of healthcare consulting.
Given his clinical and public health foundations Steve has a particular interest in Population Health Management (PHM) and recently supported NHS England in their Place Development Programme, bringing PHM to Places, Neighbourhoods and Primary Care Networks in England.

He also has a passion for shared decision making (previously the national clinical lead), long term conditions, patient empowerment, patient leadership and service redesign. He has a particular interest in patient access and brought in “telephone triage” into his practice about 15 years ago! Steve’s other interests include tennis, golf, photography, astronomy and drone flying! He lives with his wife, three daughters and a dog in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
