Duncan has been working to deliver social impact outcomes in the construction industry for almost a decade and leads the Social Impact Delivery Team for Balfour Beatty in the Central Scotland region. Responsible for supporting many of Balfour Beatty’s highest profile building and infrastructure projects, Duncan has a broad and varied role covering employability, educational engagement, volunteering, and engagement with the third sector. He works with schools and colleges to promote apprenticeship routes and recruitment opportunities both directly with Balfour Beatty and within their diverse supply chain.
His role brings him into regular contact with individuals and organisations involved at every part of the apprenticeship journey; from high school students taking their first steps on their career pathways, apprentices employed on Balfour Beatty sites, training providers, employers, and policymakers.
