Eleanor is the Senior Policy Adviser on Agriculture & Climate Change at SLE. Having previously acted as Policy Adviser (Agriculture) from 2018 to 2020, Eleanor returned to SLE in February 2023, having spent the previous two and a half years working in the US Embassy London for the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service as Agricultural Specialist for the United Kingdom and Ireland covering farming, climate change and trade matters. She has a Masters in Sustainable Agriculture & Food Security and a degree in Agriculture specialising in sustainable soil management, both from the Royal Agricultural University Eleanor leads on SLE’s policy development on Scottish farming, as the sector prepares for new support arrangements, and on environmental policy relevant to integrated land management, natural capital, climate change and ecosystem services.
