As the person responsible for ICT, Healthcare Technology and Innovation at Vilente, Hans Santegoeds introduces new and refreshing ideas, thoughts, and concepts into the elderly care sector.
With an economic background, Hans uses his previous experiences in international logistics and real estate in the healthcare sector. Regarding the current topic in healthcare of increased need for healthcare versus a decline in staff, Hans looks at it from a logistical perspective.
Facilitating the ambition of Vilente, Hans’ approach is a mix of envisioning the future, storytelling, meaningful process interventions supported by client- and employee-centered and complementary technology, building a consortium of IT partners, involving schools and healthcare staff to validate and continuously improve. Adoption of technology is another key focus by introducing serious games to increase staff and clients readiness for using technology.
Hans is a catalyst for digital transformation in the Gelderland (NL) region, consisting of elderly care organizations, mental care organizations, hospitals, and general practitioners.
His aspiration is to opt for care technology that reinforces each other and increases residents’ self-control, self-reliance, and sense of safety. It is not a replacement for personal care but a supplement to it. An addition that brings peace to the work of employees, meets the needs of the client and takes into account the feasibility for the organisation.
