As NI Civil Service Chief Information Security Officer he worked closely with Cabinet Office and the National Cyber Security Centre to strengthen governance and cyber resilience across the public sector. A landmark achievement of his tenure was establishing Northern Ireland’s first Public Sector Security Operations Centre; a pioneering initiative that brought real time threat monitoring and active defence capabilities to public sector infrastructure.
As Director of Digital Shared Services and Head of the ICT Profession for the NI Civil Service, Iggy led digital transformation at scale across multiple government departments, including the creation of the latest generation NI Direct Contact Centre, a flagship model for trusted, citizen centred public service delivery.
He subsequently moved into consultancy, where he continues to design and advise on digital health solutions and cyber security strategy, drawing on decades of operational experience in technology, policy, and public service.
Outside of the cyber conference, Iggy is a board trustee, a committed woodologist, and an occasional if enthusiastic percussionist.
