Jen Robertson is Head of Automation at the University of Glasgow and is currently leading a strategic project focused on the safe, responsible and sustainable use of AI across Professional Services. With extensive experience in digital transformation, automation and service design, her work sits at the intersection of technology, governance and organisational change, informed by learning across higher education and the wider public sector. She has built institution-wide automation capability and governance frameworks, and is now focused on helping her organisation move from isolated AI experimentation to more confident, well-governed use that delivers real value. Central to her work is ensuring AI supports people — strengthening professional judgement, building staff capability, and improving everyday services while remaining grounded in trust and human-centred design. She is particularly motivated by making complex change feel understandable and achievable for the people doing the work.
