Jill Shaw is Deputy Director of Teaching in the School of Computing and Communications in the Open University, responsible for the management and strategic planning of the curriculum in Computing, Cyber and AI. Jill was Qualification Director for the OU’s first Artificial Intelligence degree which launched in 2025, and is a part time lecturer in Information Security Management.
Jill brings over 20 years of expertise in the technology industry, specialising in system implementation and project management for technology solutions and services. In recent years, Jill has shifted focus to academia, researching employability and the development of professional skills in both students and professionals, particularly within the fields of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
