Julie Wood is the Chief Officer of City Development and Regeneration at Aberdeen City Council. City Development and Regeneration leads the delivery and development of the Council’s economic development, culture and events programme and works with a range of strategic stakeholders to secure the economic success of Aberdeen. Her role is critical to city development representing the Council and Aberdeen locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally, and supporting inward investment and the promotion of the city as a competitive business location. Julie’s work at Aberdeen City Council centres around delivering a Just Transition to Net Zero by working with partners across all sectors and the Aberdeen City Council team to create opportunities and benefits for Aberdeen. Julie Wood has over a decade of invaluable experience in economic development. Prior to her appointment as chief officer of city development and regeneration, Julie served in various leadership positions including, interim chief officer city growth and programme manager of the Aberdeen City Region Deal.
