Kenryck is a public affairs, policy communications professional and responsible for engagement in Scotland for the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. His responsibilities include driving the public affairs and public relations strategy for the Society in Scotland, and leading on profile and influence with decision makers and the Scottish media. He was formerly responsible for public affairs at the National Union of Students where he led the re-alignment and development of the organisation to engage with the new political structures following devolution. Throughout his career, Kenryck has contributed widely to areas of social policy in Scotland in health, education and local government. He was appointed by the then First Minister to the Scottish Further Education Funding Council where he supported its merger with higher education to form a new body in 2005. In 2009 he was elected as a fellow of the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of arts, manufacturing and commerce) and is particularly interested in innovation in health and education. In the 2011 Scottish Parliament Elections, Kenryck was a parliamentary candidate for the Scottish Labour Party in the South of Scotland, and in the Westminster constituency of Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk in 2015.
