Kirsty McFaul

Kirsty joined Education Scotland as a Senior Education Officer in July 2014.

Kirsty is responsible for the provision of national curricular support, advice and guidance  for technologies, including craft, design engineering and graphics, computing science, digital literacy and digital learning teaching and assessment in the early years, primary and secondary sectors in Scotland. The implementation of the Scottish Government’s digital learning and teaching strategy forms a large part of her work and she works in close partnership with policy colleagues in Scottish Government to ensure that the policy is successfully embedded in our schools and LAs. She leads a team of 6 education officers who work across all the regional improvement collaborative areas and local authorities. Digilearn.scot has become a successful brand for the team over the last 2 ½ years supporting practitioners via a range of opportunities from anywhere/anytime learning to live webinars and programmes as well as a range of resources and guidance to support practitioners on their digital journey.
