Laura McGadie is the group head of energy at Energy Saving Trust, leading and developing Energy Saving Trust’s energy advice, renewables and loans and grants administration and management activity across the UK. This activity includes the Scottish Government’s Home Energy Scotland advice network, Welsh Government’s Nest fuel poverty scheme, the Welsh Government Energy Service, the Scottish Government’s Community and Renewable Energy Scheme, the Ofgem Energy Redress Scheme and Scottish Government grants and loans for energy efficiency, renewables and sustainable transport. Laura has more than 25 years’ experience as a scheme manager in the energy field. With a passion for customer service, Laura has led her team to achieve world class net promoter scores. Laura joined Energy Saving Trust in 2009 to set up, manage and develop the delivery of the Scottish Government’s Energy Assistance Package fuel poverty programme through the Energy Saving Scotland advice network and went on to manage the Scotland-wide area-based Home Insulation Scheme and the Home Energy Scotland advice network. She previously worked for Changeworks Resources for Life as head of energy projects and has an MSc in Energy Systems and the Environment.
