Liz was appointed CEO of Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce in 2016 following 6 years in various roles at the Chamber. Liz sits on the Edinburgh City Vision Steering Group, the Edinburgh Business Forum, The Festivals Forum and many other civic groups in the city. She is also a member of the Business Creation and Growth Mission of the Enterprise and Skills Strategy Board and a member of the Land Use Taskforce. 

Prior to joining the Chamber, Liz enjoyed an entrepreneurial career spanning 16 years, founding Le Bistro Hospitality, Scotland’s largest independent hospitality company, which she led to a successful exit in 2001.  

In 2005 Liz joined Deloitte to lead their Brand and Business Development for Scotland. In 2007 she became a Director at Ernst & Young, heading up their Market Leadership Strategy as Business Development Leader UK&I.  

Liz joined Edinburgh Chamber in 2010 becoming Group Commercial Director in 2012 and has project managed the ‘Scottish Low Carbon Investment Conference’ in conjunction with Scottish Enterprise and Scottish Government. In 2011 she was seconded to Essential Edinburgh as interim Chief Executive.  

Awards: Outstanding Scottish Businesswoman of the Year 1999.
