Having worked for more than 30 years in the third sector, the last 11 years with charity DTAS (Development Trust Association for Scotland), Lynn is a founding Director of Harlaw Hydro CBS (Community Benefit Society). The 80kw micro-hydro scheme is owned by 230 shareholders and generates an average of £50000 a year to support the charitable work of the parent trust, Balerno Village Trust. Many of the 345 member organisations in the DTAS network have community owned renewable energy schemes to generate an income. An increasing number receive community benefit funds from on-shore wind projects throughout Scotland. Lynn has expertise in the sustainable transfer and development of community assets, community engagement and is the current lead for DTAS members experiencing financial crisis.
