
Maurice is a Member of the Scottish Parliament for the Scottish Conservatives and represents the North East of Scotland. He was elected in 2016 and is a champion of the Circular Economy. He chairs the Cross-Party Group on the Circular Economy and was awarded the Green Champion Award by Holyrood Magazine in 2022 and 2023. He is a member of the Citizen Participation and Public Petitions Committee. He has previously served in the Shadow Cabinet covering the Economy and Climate Change as well as Chief Whip for Ruth Davidson. Prior to being elected, Maurice led the Circular Economy Programme for Zero Waste Scotland having joined the organisation in 2011. He has fifteen years’ experience working in the waste and energy sectors previously working for Ofgem and Consumer Focus. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce and a Chartered Waste Manager.
