
Michelle leads a portfolio of digital innovation projects for the Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre (DHI), where she currently serves as the Strategic and Portfolio Lead for Diabetes, Prevention, and Healthier Lives. In this role, she drives the identification, development, and delivery of innovation opportunities that support transformational service change . Her work focuses on accelerating the adoption of digital services through effective knowledge transfer, partnership working, and strategic programme leadership.
Prior to joining DHI, Michelle held senior national roles at the Scottish Centre for Telehealth and Telecare (NHS 24), where she led several large-scale digital health programmes. She served as the national lead for Scotland’s Remote Monitoring portfolio, funded by the Scottish Government, and was the programme lead for the EU‑funded United4Health initiative. Michelle has over a decade of experience operating at a senior level in national digital programme delivery.
A trained clinician with frontline experience, Michelle brings expertise in operational management, programme management, service improvement, implementation, and citizen‑facing digital service design. She holds a Master’s degree in Leadership and Change Management and a degree in Speech and Language Therapy, underpinning her commitment to improving health outcomes through digital transformation and innovative system change.
