Paul is one of four Labour MSPs elected on the Glasgow Regional List. He is currently Scottish Labour’s Shadow Mental Health and Veterans Minister in the Scottish Parliament and so has a wide range of experience in holding the Government to account on matters of health. Paul is a champion of safe consumption rooms, having logged his Proposed Drugs Death Prevention (Scotland) Bill in 2022 which would enable the establishment of overdose prevention centres. Paul is passionate about Glasgow, its people and its heritage, and he is dedicated to seeing the city flourish and its heritage protected.
