Professor Mills is a British Heart Foundation Professor of Cardiology at the University of Edinburgh and Consultant Cardiologist at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. He is the Senior Responsible Officer and Academic Lead for the Data Driven Innovation in Health & Social Care Programme funded by the Edinburgh & South-East Scotland City Region Deal. He is Chief Investigator of multiple randomised trials using routine data.
