Professor Clapham was previously Professor of Housing at the Universities of Cardiff and Reading. He is currently a member of Cache (Collaborative Centre for housing evidence) at Glasgow University. He has written and researched extensively on many aspects of social housing and housing policy. He was previously academic advisor to the Chartered Institute of Housing and visiting professor at Uppsala University in Sweden.
