Richard has worked in hospitality, advertising , prision education and for four different councils . Latterly he worked at the universities of Strathclyde , Edinburgh, and Queen Margaret. He has advised governments, councils , health bodies, voluntary organisations and commercial businesses on policy and management issues. He has published books and journal papers; he has also written for the trade press in this field and for all the quality papers in Scotland and the UK.
