Ryan Kerstein is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, specialising in skin cancer. He serves as Associate Medical Director for Research and Innovation and leads BRAIn, the Trust’s research and innovation programme. Nationally, Ryan leads the Royal College of Surgeons of England Innovation Hub and is Technology Editor and writer for the RCS Bulletin. He has published more than 60 papers and co-founded ASep Healthcare, creator of Tournistrip, now used worldwide. His interests include safe evaluation and adoption of AI, extended reality, and digital tools in surgical care.
