I joined the Electoral Commission in 2007 as a Participation Officer working to reach under-registered groups in Scotland and those who face particular barriers to democratic participation. Prior to joining the Electoral Commission I worked in the voluntary sector in Scotland and also for an international development NGO. Since joining the Commission I have had a number of roles in communications and was appointed as Head of the Electoral Commission in Scotland in April 2025.
