Sylvi Kerr is a senior leader at Forestry and Land Scotland and a Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) with the Association for Project Management (APM). She has extensive experience in the delivery of complex programmes that support Scotland’s forestry sector and contribute to long-term environmental, economic and public value outcomes.
Sylvi played a leading role in the development of the Newton Tree Nursery initiative, a major programme established to increase domestic tree production capacity and strengthen the resilience of the forestry supply chain. The initiative brought together partners from across the public, private sectors and provides a strong example of how cross-sector collaboration and innovation can enable the public sector to deliver ambitious outcomes at pace.
At Reimagining: Public Service Delivery, Sylvi will reflect on the key lessons from the Newton Tree Nursery programme for the wider public sector, with a focus on innovation, partnership working and effective delivery of complex initiatives.
